Her PR made it about 8-hour shift when it was actually about her other starry demands. Ranveer should've taken advice from her when he was kicked out of a south indian movie for similar demands.

Why she shouldn't??? It's her prerogative to demand whatever she wants and it's the prerogative of the other(s) to agree or not agree.

I don't believe in the different narratives that got circulated about Deepika and Ranveer... the only thing that matters to me are the facts that they don't/didn't do the named movies.

as per labour law india normal working hours is 8 hours only

about that its over time and you have to pay double pay

if its night shift after 9pm you have to pay night shift extra allowance

but govt has exempted some industry like IT company from this law

i guess bollywood also is exempted

ideally a employee health goes for a toss if he works more than 8 hours a day

basically even ilo says 8 hour work 8 ours sleep and 8 hours for recreation and spend time at home per day

also ILO says an employee work should not exceed 48 hours a week

ILO just does not say like that reports prove that you work more than 8 hours a day you will get more sick and no work life balance and sitting more than 8 hours on desk job reduces life span and causes life stye health issues

Deepika had 5 film offers after Dua was born..I don't know about XXX4.She rejected 2,and picked the 2 ,which have already started filming.

Though Vanga's PR is jumping around like a cat on a hot tin roof, making ridiculous claims. No one has any idea, when these 2 films will start. The two directors lost their heads and went on SM,with their grievances. Shouting I dumped Deepika.AAI dumped Deepika. When ever AND IF these films start the 10 % who believed their rants, will wonder what the need was so long ago.

The Good thing that came out of this is, debate on reasonable working hours and working conditions..And Media made tons of money,with their non stop reporting.

The problem in India: there isn't really a well functioning trade unionism... whatever the law is (and not only t h i s law), more often than not it doesn't matter in the real working life, actually.

although i feel deepika demand to increase salary and give 5 star treatment to her entourage is wrong

but 8 hour is definitely not wrong

that demand is as per ILO UNO charter orders

if countries like india and asia or some europe cannot implement such things its their failure to give justice to employees and favour business ppl

in usa no way anyone sits or works more than 9 to 5 in office

by 4:45pm all close computers pack and run off home

its onlly in india you work 9am to 9pm or as per boss orders 14 hours a day etc

yes in IT industry ppl do work 14 hours a day for deadline

also in usa no one ready to work after reaching home even on laptop or mobile

there is lot of exploitation of employees by management in india only because unemployment is high so you make them do 3 people job by single employee in india but for same task recruit 3 employees in USA branch

also bec of such horrible work conditions person will burn out in 10 years and get all life style diseases than you kick him out of jobs

this is truth about how indian emps life work 3 peoples job and get paid one person pay and burn out in 10 years instead of USA they work 8 hours and work 30 years no burn outs

in a way its good deepika raised this issue

bollywood actors may not need labor laws but other employees need it

That's what I think about, too. Deepika is just a tool for them to divert from other things.

There is neither a shooting start for the Vanga movies nor for Kalki 2.

Prabhas is doing Fauji for now (afaIk).

Reasonable since her roles barely last longer than a lunch break anyway.
