Fake news. HNY was not superhit. Jawan was not DP’s movie. The main actress was Nayanthara and DP had cameo on it. And she barely had any role in Pathaan. She was more like an eye candy for doing bikini dance on it and she was mostly in the news for creating orange bikini controversy that was planted by some politicians. There are many iconic couples in Bollywood than them like Anil Kapoor Madhuri, Jeetendra Sridevi and many more. It would’ve more sense if it were Kajol with SRK jodi than with DP.

Well... superhit or 'only' hit - what really does it matter. On a 150 cr budget, the movie made just short of 200 cr net collection in India (with additional more than 100 cr gross overseas). It was definitely financially successful although after the first week, the movie indeed had lost steam - in India. (However, the kids love it...watched it already five times and still don't get bored )

@ Amira: You may be right for a part of your comment but certainly not by demeaning Deepika's impact in Jawan and definitely not with your take about her in Pathaan. Nayanthara was the leading lady, right, but all who have watched the movie know how important Deepika's role was for the story. As for Pathaan, I doubt that you've even watched the movie or you are simply biased against Deepika.
