I get irritated by her big over the top smile. But I do think she can do justice to the role. We need to keep actors separate from the role they are playing otherwise even Ranbir has few questionable things from personal life. But then he's an amazing actor and I fully believe he can do justice to his role.

As for an alternative for maa Sita role, someone suggested Yami Gautam and I agree she also has suitable looks. Haven't seen her acting though.

It had happened during an interview for her (very successful) Tamil movie Amaran (she plays the wife of an Army officer killed during an encounter with terrorists in Kashmir) in October last year. After almost a year, it becomes only relevant again because she plays a major role in a major Hindi movie. It's not her first controversy, btw, but certainly not a reason to boycott her (imo) - not the only actress who says things she better should not say the way she may have done.
