Had SRK made a debut at Metgala a decade back..before DP and PC made theirs,back in 2017..Fans would have been doing cartwheels.That is the difference.

There is also this problem today of Luxury brands being Fake and overpriced.

This is why rich people rush to be the first ones. Everything loses value over the years ,when fakes and dupes start flooding the market.

Is this how we get attention for Deepika now?

Nobody even remembers Deepika attending nor what she wore apart from her online fan club. It didn't move the needle in terms of either fashion or culture. She was a little better at Cannes but as you said - just a fake and a dupe compared to the OG Aishwarya, right?

Aishwarya at Cannes will remain iconic.Aish in Hollywood too. DP and PC made debut together..so that takes the shine off somewhat..even though PC was in the US with hit show Quantico.

Deepika was the 4 th most searched dresses on google that year. Rihanna was at no.1

I hope you know these types of articles are sent out by her own PR team. Nobody cares or remembers. PC also bragged about being the most searched at the Oscars. These actresses keep trying to get points for stupid stuff.

PC at the Oscars was a big deal back then. She was a presenter too.

If Srk presents an Oscar .. it would be something.

Even if PC and DP have done so before.

This year Janhvi Kjo and perhaps Mrs Vaccine will be walking Cannes red carpet . That should be interesting.

I have heard some celebs can be sponsored by brands (so brands pay for their ticket).

didn't like Deepika's met gala outfits. But miss her at Cannes. Used to wait for every outfit of hers.

Isn't the Met Gala the showcasing of fashion designers and fashion houses - and, obviously, a media event that gives eye-balls to models, stars and starlets?

To get a name in the global fashion world, the 'right' person showcasing the work can have a major impact, I think.

As for SRK...if he decides to participate, there would be a valuable reason behind. So, I (still) wait and see .
