Which was the last cult film that Bollywood made?

Shed some light, folks. Is it Laapata Ladies, or something else?

I loved Laapata Ladies for its simplicity but it was not groundbreaking or anything. However, it received immense popularity after releasing on OTT even though it failed commercially.

I still see reels made of it and that 'I love you' which the lead character struggles to say in English!

Both Animal and Kabir Singh definitely have a cult of incels/misogynists/edgy teenagers associated with them.

The word ‘cult’ is often misused, especially by the Hindi movie lovers. Most of them are not aware of what the word really means. Most use ‘Cult’ for most followed or most liked movie.
