Bizarre claim???
I only compared with something serious like harassment because what happened with Saif's family......is VERY VERY serious.....unless you consider 2 young kids caught in between all that happened as something frivolous.......that day someone could have been killed....one of the kids could have been seriously injured or much worse could have happened...Me as a mother of 2 and a wife.....am scared and petrified about what happened that day.........More than physical harm......they all must be terrified....such incidents don't fade away from the memory easily...they change you....Kareena and Saif will never feel safe again and will always be looking over their shoulders......the kids...I can't even imagine the trauma they must be going through........How can we and not you.......the post was in general....because I saw so many people making casual remarks about it....even making fun of it......God forbid ..only the people who go through something like this....know how it feels.......the least we can do is wait for the investigation to end and then do whatever we want...
and lastly...please never taunt me about taking women's safety lightly....because I do not....but here I felt what happened with Saif is being mocked hence the comparison.....and it wasn't specifically for you...
I know it wasn't specifically for me but since I'm one of the people in question I'm speaking on their behalf. You mean well but that's a knee jerk reaction. You are mixing a lot of things up here. It has nothing to do with the safety and dignity of women or how sensitive a topic sexual abuse is. Your analogy doesnt compare the trauma undergone by victims of sexual abuse with the trauma undergone by children who go through home invasion . You're comparing those who shame victims of sexual abuse for their choice of clothing to people rolling their eyes at a bunch of claims made by Saif most of which are unlikely to be true unless everyone involved is mentally impaired. . When you say he is being mocked we need to be clear on why. People who shame and blame victims of sexual abuse don't do it because they don't believe the abuse happened. They shame the victims despite knowing it happened ,they shame the victims for what happened. Nobody is blaming or mocking Saif for actually going through what what's reported to have happened and nobody is saying he asked for it. Not even the resident trolls of the forum.
Yes of course it's terrifying. The children are the 'real' victims here or the ones who will be the most affected ,ihe experience could scar them for life . I've been through this myself on a smaller scale as a child ; it wasn't this bad and I didn't witness a parent getting stabbed but I still have flashbacks from the incident so I can imagine how horrifying it can be to those kids who witness something like that. But we cannot appeal to emotion and say bachon par kya beeti hogi toh sawal mat uthao. We'll never have any rational debate with that attitude. We'd have never gotten to know it was Amber Heard who pooped on Depp's bed give or take a finger.
Yes these are bizarre claims. I'm sure as a mother and a wife if God forbid a burglar broke into your son's room and stabbed your husband you wouldn't tell your son to accompany his father to the hospital in a buggy as he bleeds through his clothes with a piece of the weapon still in his body ,instead of calling for an ambulance and alerting the police immediately. No mother lets her eight year old and her wounded husband wander into the night after a nearly fatal attack with the attacker still on the loose as she and the house help wait at home doing nothing ,let alone someone like Kareena who has always seemed to be responsible and protective of her family. Now if you're gonna say that's exactly like asking why a victim of rape didn't file a complaint immediately ; it's not and here's why. The latter lives in a hostile world where talking about her experience would bring her more hostility whereas nobody gets shunned for seeking police protection and medical care right away. Whether Saif's claims are bizarre or not is not up for debate. Even if you believe they're telling the truth ,even if you believe it happened exactly as they say it happened frame by frame it's still a bizarre story . You have every right to believe it but that's on you. But it's not okay to compare those who don't believe it to rape apologists.
