It's not so much as hate. From what's projected by the media, Saif comes across as a pretty level-headed chap. Ranbir appears more standoffish and distant. Alia isn't liked as much as Kareena too. It's not a big deal.

Same as saif and begum were hated and called airheads . No no one really cares about them much , so not put under microscope

RK and Alia both happening especially professionally so they are constantly targeted / dissected , each and every move of theirs . Must say mostly from certain fandoms

Social media didn’t spread anything about Ranbir. Ranbir himself put that out there for the whole world to see through his words and behavior.

- He called his pregnant wife fat

- He told her to wipe off her lipstick

- He talked about her voice being too loud

- He wished that their daughter wouldn’t become like her mother.

- He told her she couldn’t be a good photographer because she doesn’t love anyone else but herself

- He joked about leaving her at Kumbh Mela while they were flying there for one day.

- He kicked her dupatta with his feet because he couldn’t be bothered to bend down and pick it up or at least call her to pick it up.

- He said he married her because she molds herself to whatever he wants her to be.

These are all toxic behaviors and none of them are speculative or conjuncture. They’re all from the horse’s mouth or his Mrs.

Ranbir himself has created a situation where his behavior with his wife is constantly being watched now. That’s why he was extra touchy and clingy and helpful while they were posing. And it worked because there are plenty of social media posts about how cute they are etc etc. When Saif and Kareena had an organically cute moment, it went viral. I agree that Alia stood up before Ranbir and there isn’t anything wrong or problematic with what Ranbir did or allegedly didn’t do. But because he has a history of disrespecting her in public, it just became another angle of comparison between a loving couple and Alia & Ranbir. Alia’s face, which kind of looked mad and stern in that moment didn’t help either.
