There are people who don't drink at all even if parent, friends might be drinking at events or at home. Know few such people and admire them as it is incredible not to drink when at parties all are having it. One of friend doesn't even have sodas.

It's a mind-thing... no-body - actually - needs alcohol as a body can produce stimulants itself. And soda, I can also understand - gas, sugar and artificial aromas.

There are two industries who live of people programming themselves... (okay, many more relative to other addictions/mindsets)

Isn't that a good thing? The safe level of alcohol is zero.

I don't drink alcohol, but I'm not too fond of the fact that an alternative to alcohol is usually carbonated beverages, and I don't drink soda, either. Sometimes, cucumber or mint leaves are put in water. Being a supertaster, all of these options are nightmare scenarios, so I bring my water bottle to the meetings I get invited to.

No reason not to believe him.

He has been in public eye all his adult life, hobnobbing, socializing (and partying) with the upperclass (and other classes too)

So if he drank, it would've come out by now

(Although they can start a rumor now that he actually drinks)

He has even strictly instructed his children about it - No drinking, smoking or drugs

It is likely that his motto of "say no to drugs and booze" was one of the primary reasons preventing him from endearing himself to KJo's inner circle..

This does makes sense, besides I believe he comes from a doctor family and is Tiwari, so there's that.

Tea is it, too, for me...green in the morning as energy booster and then others (fruits and herbes) during the day. I also like coffe but only as Latte Macchiato smiley1

Anyways, often it's just the quantity that makes a difference between beneficial and injourious. I'm not against drinking alcohol or sodas or even smoking, that's not the point, but I want to keep as a voluntary decision and not as a need.

Yes, he's a Tiwari...his father is a paediatrician and his mother gynaecologist and Kartik himself studied biotechnology for a while and finished his degree after his first movie (with another 'newbie' in the industry, Luv Ranjan). He has a quite stable background.

Production houses expect better numbers from him, and hopefully he will do that. smiley32
