That's very sad she was given that advice, like she was at fault. Out of all the cheated wives, I think I feel worst for Mona especially considering her early death. There was no justice for her.
The ironic thing is that I'm sure all those industry wives were themselves cheated on. They could be in as fit condition as ever and it wouldn't matter. Both Anil and Sanjay Kapoor have cheated on their wives. Kajol is always fit but Ajay is such a philanderer. Same with Twinkle. Rani's husband goes after new YRF hires and sleeps with them. Is the fact that Rani has always had fluctuating weight supposed to suggest she's at fault?
What about Neetu Singh? Amrita Singh? Suzanne Khan? Govinda's wife Sunita and Jeetendra's wife Shobha? Both of Aamir's wives Reema and Kiran? Kiran even cheated on Aamir while he was with Reema so one would think she would have learned this lesson most of all to keep herself young and attractive, because what she did to another woman could just as easily happen to her...and in fact it did.
Arjun Rampa's wife Mehr was a model and still slim. Didn't stop Arjun from shacking up with Suzanne. Jaya Bachchan was very skinny and young-looking when Amitabh had the affair with Rekha (and countless others). Many look at her old pics and think she was better looking than Rekha so what's the logic here on why she was cheated?
The list goes on and on. Zarine Khan, Honey Irani, Dharmendra's first wife, Aditya Pancholi's wife, etc. According to the regressive comments on here, all these women have only themselves to blame. Even the ones who did not let themselves look old or overweight must still have been at blame because if their husbands weren't desiring then anymore, clearly the fault was with the wives? Somehow they were still not physically attractive enough right?
Sanjay Dutt's first wife had cancer when she was being cheated on. One would think Sanjay had more compassion considering his mother died similarly, but he didn't bat an eyelash. According to this forum, Sanjay was entitled to do this because his wife was actually the one cheating him by dying from an illness and not being able to look her best for him.
Isn't it rather odd that in marriage vows we say "in sickness and in health." According to the mostly male commenters in this thread, what we really should be saying is "only if the wife looks exactly as she does now but 20-30 years later. Same standard does not apply to husband." This is your concept of marriage apparently. No wonder Deepika at almost 40 years, posing in swimsuits in movies, is considered such a cardinal sin here that people say such scenes will cause women to cheat on their husbands. Isn't that the actual fear all along, that these double standard men are worried that one day women will simply start acting exactly as the men do and dump them first?
