Why is KJO Being So Defensive ?

Parineeti took no names in her interview and yet Karan feels the need to speak up and clarify, why is he so triggered ?

Because Parineeti now is in a position of power. Raghav fully supports her acting - she singlehandedly helped fund Chamkila (even though she has a small role, she profitted a lot from it's release which is why she spoke about it a lot).

Now, indie filmmakers and smaller moviemakers who make BETTER quality movies, but struggle to get noticed by Dharma will quickly go to Parineeti since she is willing to fund their movies. It's true her acting has regressed but under good direction, it's very easy for Parineeti to work hard and deliver her best performance yet.

This is frustrating Karan because now he is trying to poach good directors but not all of them want to work with Dharma (and the ones who do like Guneet are very smart - they will not let KJO walk all over them) and Parineeti finally has the upper-hand project wise.

Even though he was not directly responsible for Pari's downfall, he played a major part in holding her up on a hiatus by booking her dates for a Dharma film he did not make. This directly benefitted Alia. Obviously, while fanwars don't matter, other people (filmmakers, producers) are going to take Pari's words seriously on this matter even though she is no longer as popular as any of her contemporaries. Karan is embarrassed because she struck a nerve where he wants to be considered all-powerful.

It's no longer about clout with fans. Alia has long surpassed everyone with popular fans, but it has to do with clout *in the industry* where many influential people are finally going to listen to Pari.

Now I understand why people like Kangana always held politics and politicians in high respect. They always have the upper hand at the end of the day.

Favoritism worked against her *then* when she was still an A-lister/B-lister celebrity. Now, (technically it's her money too) she can start financing her own projects. She hasn't financed any fully yet, but she's in talks for quite a few.

It's true Parineeti doesn't meddle with the director's shots, so plenty of important and talented people are willing to work with her. This isn't any different from other people who are no longer in the mainstream rat race.

Well mainly because she is talking/speaking to directors who are dealing with individuals with far more financial backing than her. Also if her husband goes to jail or something that is another major headache for her. But in comparison to where she was before, she is more powerful.

Bcoz Karan finds victimhood is fashionable.There’s a recent video of him with Jharna Garg on insta..it’s very funny video.He says in that “Being victim is fashionable.”M sure it’s a scripted vid but m sure he wa being truthful when he said so.
