Vanga is more responsible for Animal's opening than Ranbir - Page 3

Without Ranbir's superlative performance in the trailer, no one would have gone to the theaters lol it's a team work.

Vanga always takes good actors. Remember Kabir Singh? That is Shahid Kapoor's highest opener.

Of course it's a combination of Vanga and Kapoor - but what I'm trying to say is Vanga is MORE responsible, given his track record and how he peddles violence and misogyny which are entrenched in the masses

Agree that's why I said team work. The kind of characters Vanga creates requires very good acting which unfortunately is a rarity in bollywood right now, most are wooden with 6 pack abs. Shahid and Ranbir are known for their acting chops. Hence Vanga chose Ranbir to do Animal cos he knows Ranbir will give his all to the character.

Agree. Vanga and the genre of the movie is the reason. I too love RK. I just hope RK will not get into this trap.

Movies don’t work in isolation. It’s a matter of a combination working. If a good actor gets short end of stick due to bad director it doesn’t mean the actor is not good. For animal it all came together

Vanga got even Shahid Kapoor his 300 crore plus movie with Kabir Singh. That shows Vanga’s power.

So whoever Vanga would have casted the result would have been almost the same . Not taking away the fact that Ranbir is super fabulous talented actor.

Sandeep Vanga’s movie caters to such people who enjoy belittling women. I really truly hope that men and women don’t learn or pick up stuff from Animal.

As it is in India even now Women are treated as an afterthought and with Vanga glorifying this it scares me truly.

But Vanga has a cult following of his own. He peddles toxic masculinity which appeals to Indian men (and maybe men of other nationalities too).

After Kabir Singh, this man became notorious for all the wrong reasons to a certain section of the population, but to majority of men continues to have a significant influence. This demographic idolizes him. He is their hero.

I think Ranbir is the finest actor of his generation and has significant starpower too, but it is Vanga who is more resposible for the film's humungous opening.

Don't forget to add that these movies entertain. They literally sell a lot of tickets. Why are men ... and women flocking to see these violent themed movies? Some would argue that there are some authentic entertaining qualities to them.
