Liberals are very sneaky with their racism. They are scared to talk about it, but they will do everything behind the scenes and I absolutely hate that. Conservatives can be sneaky too although some are very openly racist. Whenever a conservative author gets caught being racist to a black person they go and post on instagram pictures with a black person to show how they are friends with a black person and cannot be racist. Conservatives are extremely racist towards black and brown people too. I visit another forum and I will never reveal on there that I am an Indian cuz I know I am going to get racist comments. Conservatives and their racist remarks reminds me of Winston Churchill who called Indians "a beastly people with a beastly religion". F*** Churchill.

I think the user Pathaka already pointed it out in the other thread. People who will misread the film will misread it regardless of anything. That section of audience will completely miss the point of a film like American Psycho or Fight Club. They don't see it as some sort of subversive meta commentary, they see it as playing it straight.

It was the same issue with Joker a couple of years. A lot of hype about how Joker would cause a rise in violence and what not, and the film just kinda came and went. Blockbusters rarely actually cause that kind of impact anymore. Consumption is too fragmented.
