Did Dhadkan take five years to make?

I remember reading that Dhadkan took five years to make. Is this true and if so, why?

One year to fix Shilpa’s nose and recover from it. Two years for the Akshay Shilpa affair. One year to recover from the affair. One year to make the movie because they translated every English dialogue to Hindi verbatim. The length could be cut down by half.

Not only Dhadkan ,movies in 90s took several years to be made .Actors were working in 20s movies simultaneously at that time..

I heard this is the movie she got her nose job for because the director insisted.

The most shocking thing to me is that the stepsister has a completely different actress after the wedding song. Navneet Nishan gets swapped out with Manjeet Kullar in the very next scene.
