Never thought a day will come where Salman's movie will cater more to the classes and SRK will make b2b massy films
Watched it, 2nd best movie of the spy universe after ETT, but that's the thing it's a proper slick spy thriller, heavy on espionage stuff rather than chest thumping elevation sequences, the 1st half was seamless with grade A screenplay, smooth action pieces, fir entry hoti hai Pathan ki and Puri vibe ka satyanash ho jata hai its a hella stretched and rehashed sequence with zero novelty, and that mixing the characters individual bg score part is so irritating.....2nd half has lord Maneesh Sharma written all over it, choppy and stretched sequences still few revelations towards the end salvage the 2nd half.
I had my reservations regarding Emraan Hashmi but he's hands down the best villain of the Spy universe, superb performance, Kumud Mishra was cool, good to see Revathy and I loved loved the way they tied up the characters and plot with both ETT & TZH though that could prove to be an issue for the general audience. Salman was fine in, infact the whole kitchen sequence and his performance was good there, but for some reason I expected more...the film belongs to Katrina to my utter surprise the whole story is centred around Zoya and her bg.... choreography of her action pieces was mind-blowing and she pulled them off like a pro...
My biggest issue with the film is Salman's entry being meh, seriously kuch toh effort dalna tha....plus the dialogues were lame af hardly any one-liner landed and the last fight sequence was just disappointing. Still these characters and pairing is something I have loved from the 1st film and that outweighs the cons. Songs were decent.
All in all a very good movie if ppl watch it sans pre conceived notions that by default wires us to compare it with likes of Jawan, Pathan, TZH, Kick....this one is in a different zone. It could have been gr8 had the director knew how to strike a proper balance between mass n class act.
Still 3.5 Stars for Tiger, Zoya, Junior, Hassan n gang
The film reminded me alot of MI 3, which is my personal favourite from the Mission impossible franchise, the HR sequence poora endgame Hawkeye/Ronan kill spree se uthaya hai but that bit got the loudest cheers so I guess ppl would be excited for War 2. Ashutosh Rana is so annoying in this verse yaar makes me miss Girish Karnad's Shenoy sir 🤍

Reminds me of Captain Marvel and Black Widow situation of MCU, where CBM fans kehte reh gaye but the makers only gave a Black Widow solo movie post her demise in the universe and it still succeeded that too during COVID whereas they kept hyping and shoving Captain Marvel and now The Marvels is the biggest flop in history of MCU
Anyway Tiger 3 is as good as a Zoya spin-off one could hope for, Kat did an excellent job with the action and even emotion.

as said I doubt a solo woman action starrer is what audience want. She’s was great but not like a Wonder Woman or even black widow. That said Katrina held her own against Michelle lee the woman who’s a stunt woman and popular actress with movies like mortal combat.
