Stardom, in the context of Bollywood, can be likened to stepping onto a small stage in a grand theater. It's that first taste of recognition, where an actor's name begins to resonate with the audience. This initial phase often involves hard work, perseverance, and a bit of luck.

However, to ascend from stardom to superstardom requires something truly extraordinary. Superstardom is not just about fame; it's about becoming an iconic figure who transcends time and generations. It's about establishing a connection with the audience that goes beyond the characters played on screen.

Deepika Padukone (born 1986): Deepika Padukone is one of the leading actresses in Bollywood, known for her versatile acting and roles in films like "Padmaavat," "Chennai Express," and "Piku."

Ranveer Singh (born 1985): Ranveer Singh is a dynamic actor in Bollywood, known for his energetic performances in movies like "Gully Boy," "Bajirao Mastani," and "Padmaavat."

Priyanka Chopra (born 1982): Priyanka Chopra is not only a Bollywood superstar but has also made a significant mark in Hollywood with her roles in TV series like "Quantico" and films like "Baywatch."

Alia Bhatt (born 1993): Alia Bhatt is a young and talented actress who has made her presence felt in Bollywood with performances in films like "Raazi," "Gully Boy," and "Highway."

Varun Dhawan (born 1987): Varun Dhawan is known for his roles in popular Bollywood films such as "Badlapur," "Judwaa 2," and "Student of the Year."

Shraddha Kapoor (born 1987): Shraddha Kapoor has gained recognition for her roles in movies like "Aashiqui 2," "Stree," and "Chhichhore."

Ranbir Kapoor might/might not be a superstar but he is ahead of those mentioned.

Ranbir’s superstar status was a brand created by his Bollywood peers. This has not translated in real life, be it with numbers, consistency, etc. He is now behind Deepika and on par with Ranveer and Alia, absolutely not ahead.

From the list, Deepika is probably the one who has moved to superstardom status in the most obvious way and Ranveer will do soon if he is more consistent and choose his scripts carefully. Same for Alia. Priyanka was on par with Deepika before the move to the US but not anymore.

Not sure the others have the potential for superstardom.

He isn't...

What exactly do you want to tell us???

I don't see a line (thin or else)...

Superstardom will stop to exist (like it did in Hollywood and other filmindustries) ... imo

Other than DP and PC, the rest are superstars in their mommies' fond minds only (that includes KJo).

Ranbir Kapoor is ahead than the ones mentioned only in the age department . He might or might not be a superstar but he is definitely a middle aged man already. 🙏🏻

Till when is he going to be forced down the people’s throats as a wannabe superstar? Is it so important to make him somehow appear above the rest. When he clearly is not?

the notion of superstars will remain as long as those who are superstars now will live actively (no matter if Hindi, Tamil,Telugu etc.)... I'm (almost) sure that after them, there will still be stars but not superstars...
