Unpopular Opinion: Deepika and Alia are at par in acting - Page 3

Deepika used to look like a strong actor when competing with Katrina. Against Alia, it all falls flat on its face. I think part of the reason why the shift to Alia-style films like Chaapak and Geheraiyaan backfired so badly, and why she pivoted back to Pathaan, Fighter type roles.

DP acted really well in Gehraiyaan . That wasn’t an easy character to portray. So many emotions and nuances in just her facial expressions and eyes.

Deepika may be prettier but Alia is way superior to her in acting....my opinion.

Alia is not a great actress, a lie been told thousands of time will not make it truth. The moment she and team will take a break people will forget this great actress. Deepika easily survived that with jnu stunt. It's ridiculous how Alia's team made lip syncing a great accomplishment when it's not even a bare minimal for a Bollywood actress. I don't think she was any great in gangubai or raazi(I really had to google this as alia-vicky movie lol), like all of us will have a alternative actress for these roll in our mind that itself says a lot. You can't replace Deepika in cocktail, Madhuri in devdas, kareena in jwm even Katrina is irreplaceable in her flowerpot roles.

I would rate even Anushka above Alia as a Bollywood heroine. Deepika toh is not even in a same league.

At the rate things are going I feel it's not far away when her team start putting her with Madhuri or Shree devi

A simple titli(CE) >>> Tum kya mile.

Well I have been asking SRK to not cast Deepu Rani in every movie.....but he still does........so what makes you think he will listen to me about Alia??
