Maybe she feels that later on she wouldn’t be offered such roles and can always do those meatier , character roles at that time.

I think this is the best answer

That is a good point.

When asked,SRK had said that, in the beginning of ones film career, don't do intelligent films, you will not be accepted in mainstream films,Arty films should come later in career. Our younger heroines didn't get the chance to sing and dance into the hearts of moviegoers in blockbuster films. The ones who have left a mark in serious films find it difficult to overcome their image. BW is facing a drought of glamorous massy heroines. Had PC,Katty,BeBo,Anu been actively doing films with our superstars..south wouldn't have overtaken BW.

Superstars ..had they offered better deals to their heroines..these heroines wouldn't have looked at RK and RS and made their careers. They too would have had to do with B list actresses, like other young actors. Meanwhile the superstars including HR went through a lean phase.

I remember Katrina brought back Akki to the level of the Khans starting with Namaste London.By the time,Singh is King released ,he was claiming the top spot.

You never know. She's doing great without a Godparent in BW.

PROJECT K, Intern remake and Fighter, all these have good parts for the actresses from what we know. And I think she's never done a flower pot role even in her early years. Maybe Desi boyz? I dunno.

Heck , she won a Best Actress award and critical acclaim for a Rohit Shetty film!

So, yes, all meaty parts for her.

Good, she's finally realized that she doesn't have the star power or acting talent to be in a female lead in films. This way she can save face and still be part of successful films.

This thread stirred this notion in me:

I think post Covid, the mid budget woman centric films are failing in theatres. They mainly do well on OTT. I dont think DP is making a bad choice here.
