Script / story been good works for everyone.. Piku, Cocktail showed DP acting skills. Alia is just lucky that she keeps getting good roles thanks to her mentor.

why can't Deepika pick better scripts? It's not Alia's fault if she's got a good sense for scripts and likes to experiment. Y ppl always give all the credit to the mentor? that same mentor gave her SOTY ,Brahmastra and Kalank the only negatively reviewed movies

There should be better scripts left for others by Alia.

Kjo gets the credit cos both kjo and Alia lobby to get her good scripts by their own admission.

Someone posted list of Alia's movies with kjo and it was all of her movies so why shouldn't the credit be given to him as her mentor.

All the PR created hype around Brahmstra and Gangu hasn’t worked for her long term. It’s pretty much accepted now that Brahmstra wasn’t a success. Some people still argue in favor of Gangu though. RRKPK also underperformed and has been riddled with talks of corporate booking. Heart of Stone was a critical dud and all talks about it died down in a week which should give everyone a pretty good idea of where it stands in terms of viewership. Alia never was the top actress. Meantime Deepika was on top a few years ago, had a bad few years, and then bounced back with Pathan, and from everything I’m hearing made an impact with her Jawan cameo.

I am however surprised that Alia’s PR is not milking the daylights out of the National Award 🤔

That NA is nothing short of a PR nightmare, afterall sharing it with Kriti kinda puts them on the same level throwing Kjo's desperately pushed best actor across ages, country, planet etc narrative out of the window

Credit the mentor but also acknowledge Alia's talent and her knack for choosing good scripts.

Actors like Vidya, Kangana, Tabu, Taapsee and Bhumi have been headlining solo female lead movies for years. Even Rani is doing well. KJo isn't a god who knows everything. he can't predict what will work or not . Also I don't think it's about lobbying now . Most of the famous directors are ranking her #1 .

Deepika is far better than Alia in every possible way

So yeah, DP for the win!

Both movies became hit because of SRK. Let Deepika give her own hit. She tried but then she gave flop like Gehraiyaan.

She was never the top actress. Delusions galore over here.
