I was thinking the same, don’t know what she is thinking these days. Thanks to Mani she stepped out of her house otherwise all she does is say no. Clearly in her retirement era. Sometimes I feel she doesn’t want to be more successful than her hubby, its the internalized patriarchy maybe. 🤷

Nayanthara and Deepika are contemporaries. It would have been so much better had Aish,Vidya,Rani or Kajol played mother to Azad.

I would have liked to see a new Jodi..so, Vidya for me.

We may just get another SRK- DP film. I think fewer SRK fans will have a problem this time... Not P vsT . She won't do the same role again. Only the producer gains from it.

Nayantara was decent, agreed.

I was really looking forward to be impressed by her but Deepika's extended chameo actually left a print in my mind. Nayantara's acting as a negotiator was not quite powerful not even her romance/emotional scenes.

I think it has more to do with the fact that SRK and DP have tested chesmistry but Nayantara and SRK's scenes sort of paled in comparison.

I am not a DP fan but Nayantara could not one up her unfortunately despite DP not providing any ground breaking performace.

Absolutely. She literally stole the show and thunder from Nayan. Her character was more impactful and key to the story. Nayan's character started well enough but turned out to be a damp squib like in the case of any other commercial potboiler, usually the characters that die end up having a better character arc somehow and this movie is no exception .
