IDC about Sanon one way or the other, but she has improved a LOT in her craft! She’s goodlooking too so I think she’ll do this justice mainly to ensure annoying awards come her way. It well could put her in the A+ List if she plays it well.

Kriti was really good in and as Mimi. I don’t dislike her. She’s better than a basket full of nepo kids for sure. But she’ll be way out of her depth as Meena Kumari. She just doesn’t look graceful enough and her dialogue delivery is very modern. I loved her as Bitti in Bareli ki Barfi but I could tell she was out of place as the small town Indian girl while Ayushman and Raj fit right in. I would be happy to be proven wrong because I have always wanted to watch a Meena Kumari biopic.

True. I too prefer her to all her peers! She was sooo good as Mimi & that’s the movie that changed my opinion of her alongwith BKB. What’s funny though is I thought fit in exceedingly well as a small-town girl. She got the lingo & BL very well & in Mimi definitely, she played the small-town starry-eyed beauty vv well.

I kinda do agree she would be taking on too much as MK but I’ve a feeling she can make it work.

She was short and plump so there only kriti doesn't this character , plus her urdu , her accent she was a shayrah with a heavy voice

Kriti has a thin voice

Vidya Balan would have been a good option especially for the later part of meena kumaris life .

Also I don't think this film will be made as meena kumari s family is dead against it

I just realized if this film gets made a Filmfare award winning actress will portray another filmfare award winning actress on screen
