Oh, relative to Brahmastra, I would blame director and writer how they portrayed Alia (and KJo for - as I think - having casted Alia opposite Ranbir because she wanted it not seeing (or not wanting to see?) the totally lacking 'chemistry'...all that killed what the movie could have been.

🤷

Because the vast majority of BW praised Alia's acting when it was clearly mediocre under those exemplary directors.

Her average skills show clearly when it's an average director.

Personal responsibility extends to Alia too. She's 30.

I won't watch Heart of Stone but I don't agree that Alia could not do action only because she may have acted poorly in this movie.

I truly don't know why she did it...was it - like for Brahmastra - that she absolutely wanted it (here a role in a HW flick)?

I hope she learned from this experience (because of her remark lately).

watched it yesterday. It was a crappy movie.

entire cast is bland. already watched two movies/series on the same concept. HoS is full of loopholes and it is totally predictable. No exciting or thrilling scenes.

Alia looked so bad in the movie- they could have casted someone better.

Is her success in India a real success or an illusion? Her average movies are declared as hits and her highly aggressive PR elevates her to the extreme. Take her PR and KJo bought critics (by his own admission) out of the equation and will Alia still be a success?

Verdict of these films is out their for everyone to see. An in that sense I dont think shes doing anything different than anyone else. (less we forget her husband and his ex once had a party for a film being a success and it was a total flop) As for critics. Well I never followed them (because being a Bhai fan I know they can be biased I always watch the film and make up my own mind) . An before you tell me about awards I dont think her awards fall into a more egregious amount than anyone else. An Yes she will I think she will be a success.
