Actually, I don't begrudge the success of the movie - in no way. I did not expect it, neither (I don't know the first Gadar and won't watch it as I won't watch this one.).

Obviously, it is a movie that came at the 'right' time with all its ingredients...and it makes a looooooot of people happy. Although I know that I wouldn't like the movie, I enjoy the enthusiasm and enjoyment...and hope for the good in future.

If I remember correctly, you were the least interested in this movie but so glad you took the plunge and it was worth it for you. Your review resonates with mine. I also enjoyed the movie only because the one and only Sunny and everyone else was a blur, except may be Sakeena just because of my love for her. But Ameesha was completely ignored, her makeup was bad ,her lines were not impactful .and even the two songs that she was in, got trimmed. The greedy director didn’t focus on the iconic Jodi at all. Yet I don’t remember anything else other than Tara Singh and Sunny’s overpowering screen presence and his interactions with Sakeena. But your review makes me want to watch the movie again😆🤦‍♀️

haha yeah, I was sure this will be a disaster of Adipurush level😆 I dont mind being proven wrong..😊

I know right, what were those scary blue lenses that they gave her? I honestly thought from the trailer that she is a ghost or something and Sakeena died and Tara Singh is singing their favourite remembering her...all because of those god awful blue lensessmiley44smiley44smiley44She was so delicate and beautiful in Gadar 1..and her face was too caked up in this movie..😵smiley26smiley26smiley26smiley26smiley26

Greedy director had to give his son some massy dialogues and moments and pure Jeetey kept getting beat up..till beta baap se milna chahega 😎 happened🤣 best was when Sunny Paajee was tied up in the end and that general was like Hindustan Murdabad bol..and Sunny was like "Aeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..........BOLTA" hu🤣 Idk why that cracked me up so bad..I was like, general toh bahot pitega ab smiley37 smiley37 smiley37

At one point when the general was going to shoot him point blank and he screams.🤣🤣 the whole theater was in splits in that scene. And then when he pulls out that pole, there was a collective gasp in the theatre. I missed the whole thing after that because I was laughing rofl. 😆

I realized when you watch such movies, you just have to get into the spirit of the movie to enjoy them. Just like how we watch the super mindless marvel type movies.

Here we go again. Did Gadar 1 come out at the ‘right’ time too then?

Anyway, the nostalgia is huge with this one. I think I genuinely forgot just how much love the first one got. I saw Udit Narayan live in concert and his Gadar songs by FARRRRRR got the best response, I had never seen anything like it. The audience went crazy. Congrats to the team. Would much rather see a Sunny Deol hit these records than a talentless Annie or Jahnvi.

Uttam Singh's music and Uditji's voice.

I low key think Uditji came into the industry wanting to be n actor and ended up being a singer😄 he doesn't playback..he performs the song.

Uttam Singh also was the composer for Dil to Pagal hai

It was actually really cute. He turned around to go comb his hair and everything before coming out with this song haha he knows the crowds well I guess

Gadar is expected to record the best Non Holiday Monday of all time for an outright Hindi film in the range of 32-34 Cr beating the 26.5 Crs of Pathaan. The #Crash predicted by the naysayers is not happening. Infact, it's getting stronger by the day. The film is gearing up for a long run at very high levels. Pathan's record is finally up for grabs after this strong Monday.

Note: For all films, Bahubali 2 holds the record at 40.25 cr.

When the numbers are organic like this, it’s impossible to begrudge them. The problem is when the producers start fudging the numbers to fool the audience.

Well, I guess, some will always be touchy with what I write...everything, I wrote was meant positive...

I wasn't into Hindi movies at the time Gadar released 22 years ago...so I don't know the answer to your question, sev.puri...

And you, svat (which one can't tag), seems to have no idea how many people may begrudge the movie's success...

the songs still sound absolutely awesome on screen..Udd Ja Kaley Kawa and Main nikla Gaddi leke are timeless melodies..<3

and for the timing - people will see what they "want" to "see". While the audience gives two hoots about the political ideology....they just want entertainment..and entertaining it is. And this isnt even about Hindus vs Muslims..its India vs Pakistan..I mean Tara and Sakina are an interfaith couple..so WHAT exactly are they upset about it😆?????😆
