Publicly traded companies like Zee Telefilms can't fudge numbers like Private companies such as YRF can. They have too many regulations & giving out false information in the public can lead to massive Fines, stock crash & even delisting from the Exchange. Because all information they put out in the public affects their daily share price & in turn the exchange/economy. While private companies can do whatever they want, claim any numbers. It means nothing unless it's on their financial report at the end of the year. So Zee would rather under-report than over-report to play it safe.
