What he probably means is that this narrative is pushed on us through Bollywood films.

We are not talking about the exceptions here but a generic mindset of the genders and their natural qualities.

Men and women are equal but different, to play respective different roles , this uncalled for fake feminism is the root of all those complicated complex messed up theories, while nature is quite simple if we don't divert into pseudo philosophies.

It's beyond astonishing how regressive this person is. There's an interview in their punjab home where mira is wearing a red outfit and shahid is like, yeah I know now I couldn't have been with an actress and not make an issue of some aspects of the work, such as intimate scenes or use of abusive language etc.

And Mira supports him by saying - no one in my family has ever done any acting, but I understand the distinction between his work and home life. You'd notice since our marriage, he has had those types of scenes in all of his movies! So he knows I am secure.

Shahid is a walking red flag. I am glad Vidya, Bebo, PC, all dumped him. No wonder he married a woman 14 years younger than him, made her pregnant within one year of marriage and kept her a housewife.

Marriage is a partnership. It is NOT a rehab, therapy for messed up men.

Why should a woman marry a man who is a mess? Why should a woman leave her home, parents, family, friends, job, education, move in to live with a man, adopt identity of a man who is a mess and is incapable of handling himself let alone his responsibility as a husband or future father?

Such a man who is a mess and is not even a decent guy (in Shahid's words), and needs woman to fix him, does not deserve to get married at all. Clean your own mess yourself. What do you have to offer? Why should a woman marry a messed up man and lose her entire life trying to fix him?

Plenty of coddled, entitled men and their useless families think marriage will fix the guy and think even a druggie, alcoholic, criminal, violent, unstable, poorly educated, untidy, badly behaved, jobless man will become fine if he gets married or that a 'good girl' will change their spoilt son.

Cut the crap. No woman is meant to marry a messed up rotten guy. Women deserve the best for themselves and their future kids.

Why should they marry a man who cannot handle himself or clean his own mess? Such a man can never make a good husband or father. Women need a partner not a project or dilapidated building to renovate.

Shahid and men like him deserve to be called out and stop ruining lives of women and stop giving ideas to young men that some woman is gonna fix them or they are entitled to get married even if they are a mess themselves.

Marriage is a partnership and a huge responsibility. If you are a mess then no woman needs to leave her all to live with you. Period.

Why should men expect women to fix them eh?

If you are a mess or are badly raised or your own family could not teach you to handle yourself then seek therapy, go to a rehab, do your inner work and heal yourself.

Marriage is not a substitute for rehab and therapy.

Stop expecting women to molly cuddle you.

Shahid is messed as his parents divorced, both remarried and moved on with their own lives and had new kids with new spouses and Shahid practically grew up in a broken home. No wonder he is real life Kabir Singh lite.

Saif was making excuses for himself. He fooled around a lot and was irresponsible when he was with Amrita. He was not serious about his career nor had a daily routine. Amrita used to apologise to media and filmmakers on his behalf for his unprofessional behaviour then.

No wonder they got divorced.

It is a LIE that men mature later or women mature faster.

Men are spoiled rotten by their families. Especially rich ones. They remain manchild all life until realities of life jolt them.

They go after younger and prettier women as they are easier to control and dominate and will remain in awe of the older man anyway.

Men like Saif, Shahid and their apologists always give excuses of nature or biology and pseudo science to justify own tharakpan, perversion and lack of accountability, unlimited entitlement.

We know how society and families punish and judge girls more harshly since childhood and let off boys easily and coddle boys rotten. No wonder men remain immature with endless apologia for their antics in name of boys will be boys, men will be men.

Bachchans always spoke how Jaya and Shweta were much harsher and punitive towards Shweta and Navya compared to Abhishek and Agastya because the former were daughters.

Girls are judged, scolded, nitpicked more and asked to help in chores or take care of younger siblings, guests, parents or told no one will marry or keep them if they behave like this etc. Boys are let off the hook all the time and hardly judged or punished much.

Otherwise no difference in timing of maturing of men and women.
