That is a load of bs. Women/girls maturing faster than men/boys is a popular media trope. There's literally no scientific basis to it. Girls are from a young age trained or rather thrust with responsibilities that lead them into dealing with complex emotions. If a girl has younger siblings at home, then she becomes a second mother to them no matter how young she herself might be. Helping out in the kitchen, taking care of relatives, looking out for the house; these are all activities that are put on girls. The myth then perpetuates that if they are able to handle these activities, then they are emotionally mature which is all wrong. Being led into taking care of another person does not mean that a person is emotionally mature, that's a whole different ball game. You have heard of a man child a number of times? Ever come across the opposite of that? Bollywood itself perpetuates the man child trope but you never see a woman who is a complete mess being portrayed. Because society and the larger media deems it necessary to make women the responsible s*x whereas the burden is taken off boys. The same thing gets pushed around generation after generation and then we have women themselves believing this.

Disagree.

And what I said was not training the girls or pushing them to do things which gets them matured early, but their very nature and biology as they are the creators of new beings, snd naturally gifted as been more emotionally matured with the natural ability of multi tasking and patience that comes natural to them to bind a family and nurture it.

Rest you are free to proceed with your theories.

I don't know what's this all outrage and anger in this thread about Shahid's statement.

but those same husbands then taunt back and say “dont be my mother” as an insult. So these manchilds need to makeup thr mind but ofcourse taking accountability is the furthest on thr list.

Never thought that behind such a boyish face would be such a disturbed mind. These stars must read, comprehend, reflect and then speak. As per Shahid, Is marriage about controlling someone?

Wanted to say all this but nvm..

Kitna Dil par le lete hai log 🤦

There r quite a few messed up women too and there r men who take care of them..and they r actually kind of handle with care.

But theek hai..till definition of feminism is fixed let it be

How did you come to that conclusion? No girl is born a mother. She learns the behaviour. Buzzwords that you have used here - patient, nurturing, multitasking, naturally gifted (says who?) are mere traits that are learned over time. Men can be just as patient and adept at multi tasking, but nobody expects them to. The pressure of being this allrounder human being capable of everything and being an emotional vessel for the entire family is not put on them.

You are free to believe whatever you want but they are at the end of the day, only your opinions. Don't pass off your opinions as facts rooted in scientific evidence.

Kareena dodged a bullet?

Saif was asked if age gap affects a relationship, when the actor said, "I’d advise all men to marry much younger and beautiful women. How is it a great thing? It’s fairly obvious."

In the old interview, Saif also said that 'men mature a little later and women age faster'.

Going against nature and genetics of the genders will make one think about the law of nature as some old school or new school theories.

These phenomenas were there, are here snd will always be.

Don't know why everything is made out to be some sort of an old school or misogyny/patriarchy here on this forum, unnecessarily.

I disagree. There is no biological proof that women are more nurturing than men. People of any sex can be born with nurturing genes. It is old-school patriarchy because it prevails despite being debunked by science.

Men are capable of nurturing. As society slowly starts shedding its artificial divide, we can see that in practice. Men are entering more nurturing professions like nursing and education. Men are becoming more involved with childcare and actually enjoying it.

Denying men the ability to be nurturing denies them from fulfilling themselves. I have seen many men of my parent's generation feel deep regret and remorse for not having a meaningful bond with their children.
