Mulk and Thappad were flops..only Pink was successful at the BO

She won acclaim for Thappad and even filmfare but lets not forget there was hardly anything that year post March..competition was very weak..compare this to a year like 2012 where we had 6/7 top notch performances in hit movies from leading ladies..

I feel dunki will revive her career but she needs to focus on her craft and not get involved in unnecessary politics

She had a nip slip during the last ramp walk show. She was all over instagram. Looks like a desparate move to me to come back to limelight.

Mulk, Thappad, Pink were critically acclaimed and seen as prestige projects for the issues they took up.

They raised her profile critically if not at BO.

I did find her performance in Shabaash Mithu decent. But that movie didn't do wonders for her career.

I wouldn't have heard of it either had it not been for Voot's aggressive marketing.

Everytime I opened the app, this movie's poster was thrown at my face. In the end, I caved and watched it.

She might be making herself scarce for Dunki

I never liked her but I did notice she always did good unique scripts. Her script choice was very good so she must be really selective instead of taking up every offer. Maybe she didn't find anything good recently, which makes sense cuz Bwood sucks now

Tapsee is a fine actress, imo, and rather outspoken and intelligent. If I remember right, she hasn't a film background (family-wise), but a modelling career.

I saw her in the comedy Running Shaadi first, then in Badla which made me look her up and watch other movies. I like her working in south & north Indian filmindustry and also the choice of her movies. Manmarziyaan, Naam Shabana, Pink, Mulk, Thappad, Game over and Dobaara are all interesting movies.
