Bhakt is no gaali.

But yes there is mob on Twitter that drags actors for political preferences. And I have rarely seen Ajay being bashed the way Akshay, Kangana, Anupam are or the way Richa, Hansal, Swara, Pooja, Mahesh etc are for their political preferences each.

Bhakt is used as derogatory term for RW.
It has never been used as an adjective for anyone.
Bhakt and Sanghi are name calling words created by extreme left. Just like RW created librandu.

Everyone and their mothers know that.

So far Ajay hasn’t done anything to support extreme right, so why is he being called names?

just for having political preference, right?

As to answer your question,

Ajay has been made much fun about his Zuban kesari adv. There’s lot of memes for the same.

About other times, he escapes criticism is because he does his work and nikal leta hai. He got into language controversy for saying something but after the backlash, he never responded. His PR never made a hue and cry about it either. So he is clever about it.

He was in RRR, he didn’t do any chest thumping about acting in an Oscar nominated movie.

He doesn’t do lot of boasting so he doesn’t get lot of flak for other stuff.

I agree with what you say, RW created Librandu, but this word is not attached to any religion.

Whereas the Left-wingers have misused the word Bhakt which has its root in the word bhakti ( devotion) in Santana Dharma. As a Hindu, I am offended by the way this word is now misused these days.

Bhakt or liberandu or libtards are not gaalis. Just taunts at the most. Or labels.

I do not find them abusive.

But to each his own.

Your points about Ajay make sense. He indeed never speaks. He was silent about his role in Gangubai. His PR is not gonna write blogs on how it was feminist of sorts to show a character support a rape survivor.

I did not even know he was in RRR. Alia has been bragging about her role in it as if she won Oscar or it got Oscar due to her.

Ajay did go silent and did not comment on farmers or Hindi row further once he saw it blown out of proportion. Unlike Aamir who would keep giving apologies or clarifications. Ajay leaves it and issue perhaps dies down after a while.

I think his keeping quiet or not stretching it further, saves him. Smart guy. Gets spared from all bashing and memes or trolling Kangana, Akshay, Anupam or Swara, Richa, Hansal, Javed etc get.

Thanks for perspective.

A lot of fans say they are bhakt of some star. Does it souns offensive? I was once saw an interview of a guy who made a temple for Amitabh and wrote aarti for him.

He said 'Hum bhakt hain Bachchan saab ke'.

So? Did he insult the religion?

A devotee is called bhakt.

One can be a Modi bhakt or a Rahul or Sonia bhakt.

Earlier there were Indira bhakts or Nehru bhakt or Gandhi bhakt.

The term has gone beyond religion. A devoted child can also be called bhakt of his parents.

The term bhakt was coined for Modi fans as they would get really aggressive for him and defend him blindly especially on social media and would even bash other BJP leaders just to defend Modi. They were so aggressive and consistent in his defense and promotion that they saw no fault in him. Hence came to be called bhakt. Otherwise merely pro BJP guys were never called bhakt despite BJP existing for ages or when it was in power during Atal ji era.

@bold: I saw Kapil Sharma show and that whole episode was of him boasting for acting in RRR.

Bhakt or not, I like Ajay as an actor. One of my favourites since Vijaypath days. I can still watch Diljale 10 times a month. I find his calming presence attractive too. I can see what others saw in him. 🤪

Though I dont know why and what makes Kangana shut up about him. 😆
