OP is talking about Anil Kapoor wali Kapoor family. Not the Raj Kapoor wali family.

And it is true that family is nothing without Anil and Sridevi who are the only genuine and legit talent and success from that family. Or Boney and Surendra Kapoor were successful producers.

Who says that? Prithviraj Kapoor was a legend in theatre and cinema. So was Raj Kapoor. Shashi and Shammi Kapoor also succeeded way before Rishi debuted.

How can one say other Kapoors began to do well from Rishi's generation?

Rishi, Neetu, Kareena, Karishma, Kunal, Sanjana, Ranbir have NEVER done as well as Raj Kapoor FYI and will find it hard to match number of hits that Raj did as filmmaker and actor or even number of hits that Shashi and Shammi starred in (even as parallel leads if not main).

Sorry. This thread has caused so much confusion between 2 Kapoors.

I think Anil and Sridevi are only legit and actually successful members of that family and to some extent Surendra Kapoor and Boney Kapoor as producers.

Otherwise none of them has done well as actors or filmmakers.

With talent ppl also should have luck. And except Anil Kapoor other ones neither has talent nor luck.

Nowadays all r media created stars n hype is created through social media. That's why Sonam, jhanvi or Arjun Kapoor too would be called stars by many but no one will remember any of their work.
