the first...and I'm not "trying to hint", it's my observation...more than promotion for the Don movies it was promotion of herself, especially with the shooting in Berlin that started the rumours...and it still is.

To a certain extend, SRK even supported her self-promotion, helping with her role in Barfi (private rehearsals) and helping her with a music deal in USA. He started to distance himself only when PC (herself/through a 'friend'/with her PR) alleged a certain insecurity of star wifes after Gauri had made - in a private way - clear to her that she would not regard PC as a friend anymore and would not like that he works again with her.

I think PC's dig on star wives was not just for Gauri but also Twinkle who was known to be wary of her and banned Akshay from working with her.

Why do we make it only about Gauri alone and take Twinkle and Akshay out of the equation? Rumours on PC and Akki had started way before rumours on SRK and Gauri.

Twinkle is close to K Jo also. Quite possible she also wanted to see PC sidelined.
