Breaking bangles was also shown to depict rape especially if wrists got cut and bled. For eg, Dimple's rape in Krantiveer and her blood dripping along with broken pieces of bangles.

Some TV serials still show breaking bangles to depict either the consensual act or rape.

They show gold or bronze or metal/plastic/ivory bangles otherwise but for these scenes they always show woman wear glass bangles.

So what, atominis, it's a MOVIE, for cinema's sake ... it's not a real life story!

And you know, even in real life, cinema stories happen 😊

As I already wrote, the most silly things, I just forget...or I smile about them (as, e.g., impossible fight scenes or lifting HEAVY things made with paper mâché) 😉

I dunno if it is silly or not but I'd take Dharmendra's reaction at 0:35 over most of the faux realistic, nuanced, layered nonsense these days.

Love that running from 3.11! People just don't run in a dance pose anymore!

There are a lot of parcs in Europe with GORGEOUS trees to run around 😉

It's that nature offers much more to give hints...and actresses have become so athletic that they would give the actors 'a run for their money' 😃

One thing I am glad that's truly gone is high pitched laughter of heroines... that horse like neighing... HEEEEHAAAAAHAAWWWW... that was always scary and psychotic and they laughed on silliest things like mentals.

Wish I could have mentioned song-dance culture , one of the major turn offs for me (not to mention having to put up with things like this from the trolls on global foras :

But then again , have grown some skin for it since being an integral part of mainstream/masala cinema (as also many are accustomed to/fond of them) , this ain't disappearing anytime soon I guess .

The lip quivering and mouth contorting expressions when the heroine is talking with a lot of jazbaat/ehsaas.
