Silly things in films that are thankfully not there anymore

What are some things that used to be there in films earlier but are thankfully not there anymore?

I laugh when I see old films where brothers or kids and parents identify each other through locket or pendant or some common family song or tune like Roti or Yaadon ki Baraat, Parvarish.

No DNA test. Just a locket and they say this is my long lost son/brother.

I am glad that silliness is not shown anymore. Same locket can be with anyone. How that determined parentage?

It is somewhat still there. I hated to see adult men and women run after each other like kids playing pakdan pakdai, hide and seek or running races.

WTH is romantic about it?

Flowers kissing 😳🤣

I was about to write about it. Showing two flowers clashing to indicate a kiss or showing honeybee or butterfly taking nectar from flower to hint at hero kissing heroine or having sex with her.

And this shit about kali se phool, kachi kali hinting at woman's virginity.

Or camera focusing on mating birds or fireplace wali fire or melting wax under burning candle flame or lightning outside to indicate hero and heroine 'did it'.

And sky clear later, fire burnt out in fireplace and all wax melted and candle gone by next morning.

That’s the artistic way of saying "they did it"🤣

Well, I still like this kind of image language (and certainly not because I'm prude...which I'm not)...I prefer the hinting to the deed (in movies!) as it fuels the imagination 😊

I also like the locket thing...it's more magical than a DNA test.
