Nonsense.The Kapoor women broke the unofficial ban against working in films after marriage from the Karishma-Kareena era. Neetu willingly chose to give up films post-marriage since she was sick of working non-stop from childhood. Most of them who start out early do so - like Nargis,Sridevi etc.

Kat's sketchy background would give any traditional MIL another thought. Can't exactly blame Neetu. Even Jaya did the same about Karishma. Granted the same things have been rumored about Neetu and Karishma. But they were children who had domineering mothers running the show. It was not about free choice. But Kat did it to herself if the rumors are true and she was not a minor.

Kareena and Karishma are daughters. There is a difference between daughter and daughter in law and the Kapoor family was against Karishma’s entry in Bollywood. It was her mother that helped her to enter in Bollywood. Then, Kareena followed Karishma’s footsteps. If traditional MIL had problem with Kat, then why Vicky’s mother didn’t have problem with her? Vicky’s mother seems more traditional than Neetu. Kapoor family people doesn’t even seem like traditional because they are more western. I don’t know what was Karishma’s issue but I heard that she broke up with Abhishek because of her greedy mother Babita that is another weird woman.

I think Neetu won't let Alia work.. she will force her to have 2nd baby asap as RK is getting old. Alia loves RK blindly & will go to any extent to please him & orthodox Neetu Tailor. She hasn't signed anything & all of her movies are getting delayed or shelved. Girl settled at very very young age

What if Kareena and Karishma are daughters? The unofficial ban on Kapoor women has been removed. That's what matters. Poor Karishma was not at all keen when she started acting. It was her mother who pushed her minor daughter into this profession (and much more) if the rumors are anything to go by. When has Neetu ever said publicly that her DIL must not work as an actress or that she should be a sati-savitri with no exes? She might very well be possessive of her baby boy. But why dump all these prejudices on her? And Vicky's mom might very well have apprehensions about Kat. We don't know. She's simply not in the limelight.

Kat I agree has a sketchy past but she does seem like a good person.

But Deepika even during 2007 was really famous. I remember her ads, Himesh video and modelling had really put her in spotlight. Add to that MS Dhoni publicly saying that he has a crush on her. She was in news constantly.

All of this happened even before Deepika’s debut. Plus her dad Prakash Padukone is a sport champion. So in no way was she coming from a bad lineage. In fact her family is more prolific if you take her father’s career into account.


Alia’s family background is cringe actually. But I feel Ranbir truly wanted to be with Mahira and that wouldn’t happen. Later he must have decided that Alia is a safe bet.

I feel Ranbir was never as much in love with his past gfs like he was with Alia. She also seemed more involved with his family and was there with him during his most emotional time when his father died.

Ranbir himself told in an interview that he lost virginity while studying in school.

How come she be bothered by Deepika's past affairs? Ranbir got attracted towards her because OSO became a huge hit. Had it been flopped, I don't think, they would have been together as lovers.

Neetu's expectations were much higher in terms of financial and filmy background.
