She actually unfollowed Rajmouli and then followed him back when people noticed her deleting everything. She claimed she was decluttering her insta.

Of course she wants a piece of the pie now. If the movie gets any Oscar nominations she’ll want a bigger piece of the pie.

George Clooney directed GNGL. Got a best director nomination. An still I’m sure more of his fans remember that thrashy Batman movie he did rather than GNGL 😆

Most people don’t watch Oscar nominated movie, hence the joke about how many of them has anyone seen 😆

Credibility comes from the fact that they are judged by their content and not based on popularity. It’s is the Academy Awards, not people’s choice.

I just heard the song, and I’m stil confused why or how it won. It’s not awful, but pretty generic to me and India has plenty of better songs no matter what industry. I don’t mean to be mean, but it’s kind of fishy 😕

I can't explain why this happens. The more confusing it is, the lovelier their post appears to me 😆!!!

Oscars aren’t credible to me tho

You ever heard of this movie good night good luck. It got a bunch of awards. Try to find ten people in this earth who saw it 😂

It may disappoint you (or surprise), but it were far more than ten (George Clooney's GoodNightGoodLuck gained more then 8 times its budget)...it was an impressive movie about a (dirty) part of American history (and fittingly done in black and white).

The Academy has a totally other approach to give awards than the likes of Filmfare & Co. BAFTA, too, is a renowned award presentation. And there are some filmfestivals who give a good insight in world cinema: "The most prestigious film festivals in the world, known as the "Big Five", are (listed chronologically according to the date of foundation): Venice, Cannes, Berlin (the original Big Three), Toronto, and Sundance" (Wiki)...it's an honour to be screened there (even more to be selected for competition and/or getting an award).

Edit: Just as an afterthought: Movies with SRK had been part of all the five festivals...

IM just saying I never heard (an the public at large probably) of these movies 😆

Certainly, you're right, Maroon, with the "public at large" not knowing many, many of the Oscar/GG/festival nominated/awarded movies. Even Cinema lovers may not know all/many of them.

Actually, the audience makes the difference as the movies are made for all to watch one time or the other.

I've made my own Cinema-library of movies, from silent to now, mainstream-commercial or the so-called arthouse/offbeat ones, various countries...but simply because - like books - movies tell stories in a way I love and which sometimes (or often) I want to rewatch or show to others (especially to friends, kids and students). Books and movies (stories) are my passion as they deal with people, with mankind.
