Yes I too am surprised by this break up. I actually thought they would get married within the next year or so. People on social media have noticed that pictures of each one are already gone from other one’s instagram, or archived. Perhaps the break up wasn’t so amicable after all.

I’ve read a few KJo IVs where it was obvious he was resigned to the whole “cheating always happens” bit. Bear in mind I also have an irrational fondness for KJo 😆 but I doubt am projecting b/c the way he worded it, it was clear. KJo for all intents & purposes, is a deeply emotional & sentimental man who I feel, has had very very bad luck in love. (Atleast from the little I’ve gleaned) Maybe that makes him resigned/bitter/ obsessed with infidelity but does he actually enjoy/ like the feeling of it? I very much doubt it.

I’ve noticed this about KJo- He genuinely doesn’t like infidelity & disloyalty, even vicariously. It’s quite complex, his thinking. For all his obsession with se*, prying about people’s personal lives etc, he doesn’t like to see cheating etc. So maybe then they broke up b/c he was cheating on Tara? Which is absolutely correct when you’re in a committed relationship. But oh well! Most people, esp BW, are this way. Look at Aloo- She’ll just have to make her peace with it & sport that massive rock on her finger, smile & look away, when RK is “physically, not emotionally” cheating on her.

I was wondering what to make of that statement. Do you think they really did agree to a one-way open marriage if that is even a thing? No one expects RK to be loyal looking at his track record. But he seems to have a lot of love for his daughter. And loyal and faithful marriages are one the healthiest things children can have in their upbringing.

All marriages in BW are open, by agreement or otherwise. Idk WHY people are so shocked here to know this!!!! Literally baffles my mind. Also, you would be utterly shocked to know how many couples irl, middle-class or otherwise (b/c for some absurd reason IF people believe that only the middle class have “sanskaari” values & open marriages are a concept invented by the well-to-do/“rich” which is entirely stupid 😆😆) have open marriages/have had or indulge in swinging. It’s becoming increasingly common. It’s just that they aren’t noteworthy or wealthy + they wouldn’t dare to talk about it publicly.

You can love your daughter & have a private life in agreement with your wife. Those 2 things aren’t mutually exclusive.

Loyal marriage’s definitely have a massive positive impact on children for sure, but the most important thing I feel (all observation since I don’t have kids lol) are happy & well-adjusted parents which am sure, can be achieved even in a non-traditional marital format.

Haan even I was like what's loving your child got to do with being loyal to your spouse (and marriage vows)😅

Infact, loving your child comes more easily because they are your blood😅 Kiara Advani bichaari Good Newwzz mein 100 baar bolke gayi "Apna khoon toh apna hai ji"😅 so obviously, loyalty and love for your blood comes easier than breaking your philandering ways.

Yours matlab yours nahi, rhetorical tha😅

I mean as long as you are not fighting and disrespecting each other in front of your children that is fine. But research definitely shows two loyal biological parents living under one roof have a very positive impact on the kids.

I don't know living in the west I have hardly interacted with any Indian couple that has an open marriage. Or they just are not open about it. This includes the well-to-do and middle classes. Our family friends circle is pretty broad.

I think more than middle-class or well-to-do I feel it is more common in show business. And I just don't see it in Indian circles as much. I have seen people who are in open relationships from other communities. They are quite open about it.

At the end all kids want their parents together. I hope I am not passing judgement on anyone's way of life here. I am just describing what I have read form research.

I totally disagree. The Indians you know wouldn’t be open about it, often I’ve noticed (having a lot of family born & brought up in the UK & AU) the Indian origin folks abroad are even MORE hyper to appear more “Indian” & hold onto their traditions very closely. But I live in india, and I know atleast a few couples (totally middle-class btw) who are known to be in open marriages. Only 1 are open about it, the rest understandably, aren’t.

It’s definitely definitely!!! A BW thing too. What I understand, is that, money + fame is a weird combination & it completely screws with your head. 🤷‍♀️

There is research on that too. Being famous and rich just opens you up to more options. And not everyone can resist the temptation afterwards. Not to mention, this does not have to be the case. Most people in show business are very attractive too. Thus, they would anyways have more options.

I totally believe you when you say it is common with the middle class. I was at a party with people i had met through work. I would have never understood I had been propositioned to join an open relationship unless my sister did not tell me afterward on the car ride home. I thought it was as simple as another girl paying me a compliment. Airhead me! 😆
