I think it’s lack of eloquence and not lack of language skills. I doubt he would have done any better in Hindi because he probably still would have snuck in the phrase “time pass” to sound cool or to make theirs some filmy love story.

The thing is he really could have sold a real love story to their guests, and social media 🤷🏽‍♀️, had he tried to just be simple and not over do it. Something along the lines of we’ve been friends for many many years but I feel that we were always meant to be.

I don't think things got blown out of proportion. He shouldn't have said what he did, it just makes it look like Tara was a thing to be used and this is how many people feel after a break up and here the girl was her friend so people are bound to feel for Tara.
