I don't t knkw what the tweet mean but kantara has few objectionable scenes for eg : a man can touch woman without her consent as long as he is hero. There are couple more scenes where women place is degraded.

Anand quite clearly makes very small art-oriented films. Why would he be jealous of a commercial potboiler? That's not the lane he operates in.

Unfortunately main ghar pe dekha lekin both pictures just be awesome cinematic experience. Dono bhot different picture, human greed being common element.

Kantara mein kuchh scenes hain jidhar hero heroine ko waist pe chimti kaatata hai. Backstory mein dikhayelay ki they childhood friends, toh I'm assuming it was a running thing since childhood. Aisa nahin ki she was stranger. Mai assume karrau ki woh scene ne Mr. Gandhi ke sentiments hurt kar daale aur woh "toxic masculinity" ka celebration bana daala. Jealousy ka nahin malum lekin uski g$$d zarur jal gayeliy. In any case Tumbadd was Sohum Shah and Rahi Barve 's baby. Yeh chirkut Gandhi itna credit kayku lerela. Uske baap ki taang...

In short, is ch$$$ye Anand Gandhi ko mat suno. Aur dono bhi pichchar (Kantara & Tumbbaad) enjoy karo! 👍🏼

Totally. Kantara was set in yesteryears in a remote village and they showed what goes on there day to day. Complaining about it not having woke sensibilities is like expecting water from sand. Kantara clicked with people because Rishab kept it closer to reality for major portion of the movie. That is what resonated with the audiences. Taking away nothing from Tumbbad but Kantara is not responsible for it not clicking with the audience. So the saltiness is unwarranted.

Tumbbad is a better movie storytelling n cinematography wise.. but wasn't able to grab love and attention of wider audience, that's where Kantara succeeded.

Jo bhi keh lo every filmmaker at the end of the day would want that their movie makes money.

Anand here is clearly jealous of Kantara made more money. Hajam nahi ho raha.

He should watch tumbad first to state what he is saying , he probably doesn't know what his film showed probably he was busy fighting and taking credit from the actual creator rahi barve.

Showing and celebrating are diff. I haven't seen Kantara, but the BGM, the hero's attitude, fallout from behavior all end up celebrating bad behavior towards women in films in general.
