Success streak of Ayushmann is over?

Ironically, he actually tried to do something new with Action Hero.

I guess people want to see him in social comedies only. He has become synonymous with that.

Every time he tries to experiment, he ends up falling flat.

He was so good in Anek, but it didn't have any takers.

Really then what happened with Badhai Do..Dr. G?

I guess people don't want to see him at all post pandemic..all his movies regardless of genre are bombing left right and centre..

cougar, it was Badhaai Ho.

The credit as a lead actor in the - imo - very good movie Badhaai Do goes to Rajkummar Rao (who is in good demand).

Maybe you are right, cougar, that the audience suffers from a certain Ayushmann-fatigue (although I would watch him in "An Action Hero").

Thats the case with most actors ... Lets not single out Ayushman..

No badhai Ho was in 2018 right..which also had neena which was a huge hit..then part 2 came with ayush and bhumi called badhai do..which released this year

How confusing to make two movies with the same title ...Wikipedia has only the "Ho" one with Ayushmann und Neena Gupta and the "Do" one with Rajkummar and Bhumi (no Ayushmann in that movie).

Wikipedia tells that the "Do" one is a "spiritual successor" to "Ho"

I think you’re right. All his movies are failing these days, even the kind we are used to from Ayushman. I don’t see the any hype and excitement for his movies or trailers anymore either. Has the excitement and hype faded because people have moved on from Ayushman, or are people moving on from Ayushman because his team or marketing teams for his movies aren’t doing proper promotional work? I barely knew about Action Hero and only realized it released yesterday when I saw a Reddit topic about it opening at 1.5cr.

Ayushman was always a one trick pony. Diminishing returns were already setting in before COVID. COVID just accelerated it. These movies only belong on streaming now.
