Ah, okay, I see...

It's easy to answer as it is a personal choice: If I despise the person that works as a main artist in a movie, I won't have an interest in the movie...it's as simple as that. I have no special interest in one of Kangana's movies except two I watched before even knowing about her (because of the director and the leading actor). Nevertheless, there are some of the movies she starred in I'll probably watch - if I have the time - but surely not because of her but despite her.

Interesting take. Live and let live approach. Cancel culture almost doesn’t let us do that these days I guess. Who’s someone you actively avoid?

From your list, Michael Jackson. I subconsciously avoid Alok Nath and Sajid Khan but that might be for the quality reasons. 😆

No. If this was an office or a non-entertainment industry workplace. They’d be fired.

Oh I just came to know now that MJ meant Mikael Jackson.. It's a coincidence that i ended up giving same example even if I didn't know MJ meant Mikael Jackson in TM's main post.. Anyway I still stand on my point that I don't mix onscreen and offscreen. I give credit where it is due.

No! It's even more impossible if you have known the artist, followed them. It's one thing if they are victim of false accusation but if there have been red flags or they've been continuously doing, saying stuff even before something big happens, their doings get outted by their victims, it already turns weird.

The art & the artist are like two side of a coin. You can't just unsee one side.

& it's different with artists I don't know about. Keyword "I don't know".

ETA - & NO! This is very different from cancel culture. Here, you observe, wait for proof but don't blindly trust either. The option of not talking crap w/o knowing the full story is always an option which of course cancel culture isn't familiar with. For them, it's all about our favourite is great! rest, if others favourite do anything or there is a rumour about something we can't tolerate.

Basically I don't know that Michael Jackson was a child molester. I'm just reading it here now. Not sure they are just rumors or true.I may find it is rumors or true by researching in Google But I don't even have patience or interest to know offscreen stuff of anyone. He is dead person now and not going to create any music in future.I only knew him for his music or dance and I know or heard about his plastic surgeries, Vitiligo, personality disorders.Thats it. After knowing this in bold I start hating him? I really don't care about him anymore.. So why should I bother who he was.

If he was really child molester I hope that he was punished by law.

Do you think you could objectively do so? Are you able to appreciate an actor if they were phenomenal and did their role to a T, but was an awful human being? Or for that matter done objectionable things? A few examples that come to mind:

- MJ was an incredible artist, but accused of being a child molester

- Alok Nath accused in the Me Too movement

- Sajid Khan also accused in the Me Too movement

- Vivek A/Anupam K/Akshay K accused of supporting a right wing political party

- Sonam/Swara etc accused of supporting a left wing party

- BigB/Rishi Kapoor accused of being a serial cheater

Is it safe to say the public has a short term memory? Or would you personally take a stance and refuse to watch/listen to any content related to shady individuals? I.e. stop listening to MJ’s music, refuse to watch Vivek’s movies, stop rewatching Sajid’s movies etc or are you actually able to separate the art from the artist and just enjoy good content and just don’t give a crap?😆

Not to sound insensitive but the stuff these people are accused well I don’t always believe those accusations. So it’s easy for me 🤷‍♂️
