Oh please! It is perfectly normal, keep your filthy thinking out of it. I may not like Ash but this is perfectly okay, that's her child, they share a close relationship, it's a normal family dynamic between them. If it is not accepted in your family, does not mean it should not be accepted by her either.

Every family relationship is different, some are into a lot of affection and some don't even hug each other. I come from a family where hugging and kissing (on a cheek) is a norm and we do it each time we greet each other, even if we meet each other several times during a day. But, my boyfriend's family is opposite and they just kind of wave or acknowledge each other with no hugs whatsoever.

It's upto one person how they show their affection to their own family member. Brother, father, sister, mother, daughter, son whatever. It's not like they are making out. A little peck could never hurt neither be weird as long as both the individual are comfortable.

It's their own way of showing affection, what could possibly wrong or uncomfortable about it.

If I, you don't do it, doesn't mean others don't or can't. There is nothing weird about it. It's a mindset. The way one look at it.

What? A kiss? It’s just a peck for crying out loud, which I think most parents do. She is just a 11 year old , for God’s sakes.
