I think it is just her preference. Like we all have a preference for funny or intellectual. Curls or straight hair. She likes looking healthy.

Skinny girls generally are fit unless they're actively pursuing unhealthy practices.

Plump girls may also be fit unless the weight impacts their health.

Sorry, this is also problematic. Skinny girls, plump girls... as long as they're not obese or unhealthy, we're ok.

I don’t mean it as a criticism for those who are thin..What I am trying to say is that a lot of these new girls Ananya, Shanaya etc are driving this trend that being wharf thin is the ONLY WAY to look good..it isn’t..IMO you will fall sick if you crash diet into being too thin…

I mean healthy as in not super model thin. Healthy as in having a little bit of meat on you. Again does that also play into body image issues maybe ?

but in that way any kind of preference tall or short, straight or curly hair, easygoing or seriously intellectual might trigger some insecurity. As long as you make sure you state that is your preference. And there is no need for everyone to be the same way.

I think Harnaaz said it best in her Miss World question and answer round. And she has lived upto her words.

Oh, I agree. Proper diet and daily exercise are the way to a healthy body. If only I could follow my own advise.😒

I mean for a model esp a MU, she’s very chubby. But “let herself go” is stretching it a bit far. She hasn’t yet. She must be on some meds or going through depression or something. SSRIs generally make you gain weight. Whatever she’s going through, I hope she emerges from it. She must’ve BW aspirations so I hope she loses the weight too.

Normally they all are a size zero putting the pressure up for girls who don’t have all the time in the world to trim their body to look like that. She is changing the definition of beauty to include a wider and more healthy looking range. Not all girls have the time to gym and diet all the time. Stress and other factors lead to weight gain.

Not really..had she won Miss Universe with a body like this would have surely led to all this..to know you can win MU regardless of weight but she just succumed to the norms of beauty by being super slim to win the crown..why did she not look the way she does now last year when she was in MU? her celiac disease was still there..she worked on herself despite that coz she knew had she looked the way she does now..there is no way she would have won MU..so it proves nothing for body positivity..

I still think after winning the crown and in her reigning year being healthy does a lot of boy positivity IMO. To each it’s own!
