AFTER a roller-coaster ride in the Big Brother house, Shilpa Shetty emerged victorious last night as a string of lucrative job offers flooded in for her.
The Bollywood beauty looks set to be the biggest winner in the show's history, with experts predicting her earning 1million alone this year.
Sanjeev Bhasker, creator of the BBC's Kumars at Number 42, of which the Indian actress is an avid fan, has already approached her agents about signing her up for his latest project.
Bhasker, along with Birds Of A Feather writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, has written a TV pilot based on an Indian call centre and they are hoping Shilpa will take the lead role.
The call centre series has an impressive pedigree. It is being produced by Allan McKeown, husband of Tracey Ullman, and co-writers Marks and Gran were also behind the award-winning series The New Statesman.
Bhasker said: "It's about three Brits who are unexpectedly told to run a call centre in India. Shilpa would be perfect for the show and, if she is keen, I will write her a part.
Speaking from India, where he had travelled to speak to Shilpa's agents, he added: "I think that Shilpa Shetty has maintained poise, grace and compassion in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
"She has acted as a young well brought-up modern Indian, and has ironically presented traits that most people outside India consider to be traditional British values.
"All this in the face of sustained snide and adolescent attitudes from some of her housemates, she needs to be congratulated."
Shilpa's sister, Shamita, said: "Shilpa and I are great fans of the Kumars. We watch it each time it's on Indian television and it makes us laugh a great deal."
PR guru Max Clifford, who is now representing Shilpa, confirmed there had already been a huge amount of interest.
He said: "The looks, the fact she's a trained actress and how she handled nasty attacks from other housemates are behind her appeal. She can comfortably earn 1million this year. The sky's the limit after that."
