It appears as though it's someone who needs to man/woman up.

If someone likes you, you'd know, you wouldn't be left second guessing. Think of it like recruitment consultants who get all over you when a client has expressed clear interest in you for a job role, calling and texting. Not the other way when they express half arsed sentiments and you're left calling to get an update.

You deserve clarity not left to conjure up castles in air from pussy forwards such as these.

The real trauma took place when we were being paired with a six-grader to become ‘buddies’. The older kids got to choose who to be paired with. Guess who got chosen last? Me. I had the biggest lump in my throat and was swallowing back my tears. I may have not understood the language but I knew what rejection was. This memory still chokes me up. 😔

Aww. That’s not fun. I hope the years after that was enjoyable.

My KG wasn’t exciting either. Up until 3rd grade, I was miserable in school. After that, never a grade where I wanted to stay home. Especially 8-12. One of the Best times of my life.

Sadly the world is full of people like the some of the scum of the earth types you encounter here.

Kids can be vicious. This place used to remind me of a middle school playground; people hovering over a queen bee figure, the operating like a cartel, herd mentality, no opinions of own.

Reminded me of my own middle school experience, fcuking traumatising till date. High school was better, by then you get the courage not to conform.

sorry to hear that, yes childhood experiences can be traumatic but the way I see it we learn from those and I think it makes one stronger !! And people can sometimes be ignorant and discriminate if we aren’t like them. Well from what I see here you are talented and a person who brings smile to others!!

🤗The subtle racism and micro aggressions sometimes hurts more than the in your face taunts. Kids can be brutal. I remember one girl had a more mature body than others at that young age, and the other kids would make fun of her on sports day. Honestly just sad and it’s stuck with me till date. One girl was called all sorts of names just for being tall (the boys were probably just jealous), another made fun of for needing glasses at that young age. I hope kids are a little more kinder these days.😔

What I remember in KG is some kid leaving his/her milk toast (French toast to the non Mallus) by my seat. The teacher insisted it was mine and made me eat. I think I was in my 20s before I could look another piece of milk toast in the eye😆.

The other memory from elementary school which stands out is the daily quiz on multiplication tables. I'm actually very good at math, but that remains a horrifying experience.
