I have always maintained similar boycotts were faced by Akshay's movies since way long before pandemic, but I was laughed off by Khan fans in the forum, because Akki at that time didn't used to make PR articles showing himself as victim like he started doing since Laxmi.

Heard recently that tamil film industrial has taken a decisión not to show any hindú phobic content in their movies anymore.

Is it true? And if yes, does it have anything to do with whats happening to bollywood?

i don’t know about it, it could be the reason of Bollywood boycott trends but in general movies should not have any religious context in them other than entertainment it should not take sides of any religion, movies sole purpose is to bring light hearted enjoyable feelings not show favorism of any religion which brings perplexity in audience, awkward feelings after watching films..

Bollywood has lot of issues actually and is not ideal. Film industry was always put on a pedestal from day one. I have no issues in these guys getting criticism.

But daily hashtags and fake propaganda against them or false allegations or seeing hurt sentiments and agenda in even old films is sick.

Let velle people and paid trolls trend hashtags. No one will stop watching Bollywood entirely. People have no other sources of entertainment, and will watch films anyway either on TV or online or even pirated versions or see same Bollywood actors in web series.

If all these nonsensical boycott trends actually lead to Bollywood choosing better scripts and striving to be better, with less nepo actors rubbed in my face, I’ll take it as a win. But I can’t believe we’re still extensively discussing boycott trends that don’t even represent 1% of India🤦🏻‍♀️

Considering that only 10.5% of India watches movies on an average,1% is 1/10th of movie going population which is quite a lot. Isn’t it?

You’re making the assumption that 100% of the 1% are part of your 2019 data sample.
