HUM JEET GAYE 12.9
Haven't watched the whole clip but agree
He's no Naushad, SJ, LP or Ilayaraja
But he got the Grammy and the Oscar and they didn't 😛
Even Ennio Morricone didn't get any, had to be content with lifetime Oscar they give it to retired people
Hmm so I must be crazy to still listen songs from Bombay , after 30+ years.
You heard one you've heard everything
I am sure most (if not all) music directors are jealous of A R Rahman.. he has had an illustrious career like no other Indian musician.
As far as the topic is concerned, it's a joke, I can think of at least ten songs at the top of my head within a minute that are wonderful melodies composed by ARR. Just because ARR is technologically advanced does not mean his songs lack soul. The reason people got attracted to his music is because of the way it makes us feel... and people don't get attached to random sounds or techno beats. It takes a lot more than that.
Here's hoping ARR makes his grand comeback with Mani Ratnam's PS1!
Older songs no but a definite yes to his compositions since a decade.
Title is a bit misleading😛.
What that guy said is, when A R Rehman combines melody with technology he gives good songs but when he is dependent more on technology less on melody his songs are not good.
IMO, Rehman's retro music might have been good but most of his recent music is pedestrian.

rehman always combined techno with melody...there is no song of rehman during his prime since 95 to 2011 which is a melody less song they all had melody with modren element , jatin out of sheer competition said it while jatin lalit music in ddlj , kuch kuch htoa hai , kabhi khushi kabhi ghum , mohabbtien sound too similar and repetitive

very true. Rehman is just an over-hyped musician. Other than a handful of songs, the rest of his stuff is unadulterated techno garbage😉😆
