Laal Singh Chaddha reviews and box office (DT Warning p30) - Page 33

Just finished watching the movie. I didn't like the trailer so had zero expectations from the movie. As I had nothing else to do I decided to watch it thinking that at least the performances would be good.

The Good: The first half till the Kargil war. The story actually looked interesting till the war happened. I loved how they covered lot of major events of Indian history from the 70s to 2018. Acting wise Kareena was amazing. This is one of her best performances. Mona Singh too was brilliant in the movie.

The Bad: Almost everything in the second half. Naga Chaitanya's acting was average. Aamir was even more pathetic. His acting in some of the scenes looked cringeworthy and some scenes really funny. Can't believe an actor like Aamir can give such terrible performance just because he's misfit for this role. This is the worst performance of his career. Story wide things messed up post kargil war. An Indian army officer rescues a Pakistani militant and the militant is not even arrested and punished by the Indian Government. That was something so weird. Basically the movie tried to give this message through Mohammad that not all terrorists are bad, they're just brainwashed. That entire part with Mohammad looked so weird.

He said the other actress was much younger than him and he thought Kareena would look more age appropriate considering that they were doing deaging on him.

No, he said they were initially looking for someone younger because the role required her to age from 18 to 50.The irony of a 57 year old man saying this, when he himself had to undergo the same age transition in the movie.

There is a Telugu movie , a classic, made by K.Vishwanath acted in by Kamal Hassan called Swati Muthyam. I bet you will love it too even if you watch it with the help of subtitles.

Oh yeah I remember but Anil’s acting in it🤦‍♀️ I would rather watch Kamal’s take of the character.😍

Yes it’s my absolute favorite because of the way the lead is shown to have a fulfilling life despite being differently abled. ❤️

KV’s last two movies were a bit of his indulgences 🤦‍♀️which I guess happens to all the great artists but otherwise he has given some great masterpieces which aged like fine wine.

People should stop spreading things from their behind on the Twitter. There was absolutely ZERO reference to anything Hinduism in the movie, let alone any commentary on the Pooja paath. Aiwee spreading lies!

Not justifying any violence on Sikhs... Every single person killed or impacted was innocent.

BJP It cell won't be affected because the dirty deed were done by a section of Congress men and loyalists.. A totally different tribe according to them, not me.
