Vikram Vedha prediction and discussion (Hrithik and Saif film)

This film is releasing in Sept with Saif and Hrithik it is a remake of a Tamil film. It will be nice to see Hrithik in a negative role after a long time. Rohit saraf will suit the character of Pulli IMOs

I recently watched the Tamil version of this film

great story and acting

you could empathise with both Vikram and Vedha who were like 2 sides of the same coin. I felt bad for Pulli and Chandra too. I liked the ending it didnt give definitive answers and was not that unrealistic either

Overall, I liked the storytelling and narrative. The original actors Madhavan and Vijay were great let's see how the Bollywood actors will do

The Bollywood remake will flop because obviously they do not know how to balance both the characters and make them both empathetic at the same time. The success of OG VV was in the fact that they let the audience decide for themselves who they want to support by precariously balancing both the leads. Whereas in BW they like to spoon feed and tell you who you should support by manually tilting the balance (screenplay) towards whoever gets the bigger paycheck. I hope I am wrong though.🤞

Edit: I just checked that it was being directed by the same duo that directed the OG. May be there is hope.

Success failure aside, but someone like Hrithik playing the role of Vedha itself is low key disappointing. I honestly have nothing against HR but he comes with a lot of star baggage, it is like somebody like Ajith or Vijay playing Vedha, in that case majority of the audience is already rooting for the star from the beginning itself and are very keen to witness 'their story' unfold. In the original, the unfolding of story is more consequential and happens in a flow where you interpret things as you move ahead without any prior baggage. That was the beauty of Vikram Vedha, the shades of grey shifting and swinging.

On topic, until we get the trailer, the positives besides HR and Saif seem to be that it’s an adaptation of the story and not a carbon copy and that the new screenplay is written by the Neeraj pandey 👏 And it’s being made by original director duo so.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's not a romance. It's about 2 older characters. The original was incredibly well written. If the Hindi version is as well, it will succeed. The movie was that good.

I don't know if Hrithik has the chops to do the role TBH. But he brings the star power. So will see.
