Only thing in common Madhuri and Sridevi had with Disha is they were both outsiders. Yes, Madhuri Dixit's curved helped her. The song Dhak Dhak karne laga was a hit due to Madhuri's figure. But she brought so much more to the screen than a sexy figure.

But as long as nepotism continues to grow in Bollywood doubt it. The probability of dancing, acting, and beauty coming out of such a limited pool is very low.

Okay Madhuri had a nice body and could dance but she was limited as an actor. She could only do certain types of roles.

Sridevi was also very good and had a very very good range but her dialogue delivery was kinda lacking. Her accent didn't really fit in all roles.

Yes the older actresses had huge fan following even more then actresses today but they did have their own negative points. They weren't perfect. I think people just don't want to see that or accept that. Idk why.

If we talk about current generation then DP is the only one that really stands out. She had a very organic rise compared to others. Yea she's got many issues lol

She had hit rock bottom with back to back flops but she plowed her way to the top without help. And that's sorta admirable. Most actresses would disappear after the disaster DP had early in her career.

I don’t believe this whole theory that in the current generation there are no superstars due to social media and all that exposure.

Look at the West, Beyoncé is a huge star whose one move makes so much news. The truth is, we don’t have anyone who is worthy of that label. The focus has completely shifted on catering to film family egos and remaking songs. Bollywood has become lazy and uninspired

Have to disagree about YRF. They gave us two bonafida stars with Ranveer Singh and Anushka. Not bland by anyone's standard.

Forget about Sri,Madhuri etc. I don’t even find these actresses reaching to Katrina,Kareena,Deepika’s level anytime soon.
