No one can shove anyone down audience throat. If that was the case ppl would have accepted Abhishek bachan who was given maximum chances n had movies from many big banners.

Alia had talent n was lucky too that her movies worked. She grew as an actress.

Of course Alia has a massive publicity campaign and the entire might of Karan behind her. But it is telling how every starlet has tried to copy Alia since, and not one of them has managed to take off with the audiences. Heck Jhanvi's entire career mantra seems to be "What will Alia do". She makes incredibly smart choices and is a stronger actor than all of her contemporaries, old and new. And Karan would have long dropped her, if it wasn't a two way street. She has revitalized Dharma and mythologized Karan as a god-father like figure.

I think what truly sets Alia apart is that she has a vision for her career. It's never easy choices. No Khan films, no three songs-ten scene roles in blockbusters and no relying on sex appeal. If Alia were to show up in Pathaan or Tiger 3, audiences would be disappointed. They have been trained to expect something better from Alia.

Nobody is choking, so all good. 🥳

People give Abhishek's example always..but he debuted around the same time as Hrithik..and the latter had a dream debut and became heart throb of the nation. While Abhi had a flop debut. And obviously Hrithik is more appealing to the eye.

Which nepo kid was Alia's competition? Her path was clear.

Yes, she promoted as next big thing by media and bollywood industry, but everyone know she is not that level... Regarding talent, her contemporary are talented but they were not given fair chances and they did not projected as best one like alia has... Still I prefer pari over alia anyday...

Today many actress like pari, sanya, kriti are craved own path though it has more failure than success but they own their way...

I somewhat agree to the Alia shoved down our throats theory. And she isn't even a very good actress to begin with. Mediocre at best. Heck she isn't even has the best screen presence in an ad. I was watching a movie called Bulbul and frankly speaking the lead girl has more spark and screen presence than Alia. Unfortunately she won't get that much opportunity as Alia. Same with some others. Give all fair chance then judge.
