Brahmastra is an unsafe film for Alia.She just doesn't make it work.She is simply not heroine material.

Kalank was an unsafe film for her.

RRR was an unsafe film for her.

Rest are all safe films.If she gets another film with a BB director like SLB ..she can give a 9cr opening by magically tripling advance the day before the release,surprising her own sister.

She plays safe 😆

She’s a good actress

I watched Gangubai and became a fan of hers. Now, after watching Darlings teaser, I must say this girl has something special in her.

She's taking on meaty roles, female-centric roles, and author-backed roles without the bat of an eyelid. Talent is phenomenal. Risk-taking ability is phenomenal. When both these aspects combine, you know you have a gem.

The very fact she did Highway as her second film shows she is here to bend the rules of the game. She might have lobbied for it. Putting aside her connections and Karan Johar as her mentor, I see nothing wrong with that.

Overall, after Sridevi, I feel she's the first top heroine who is also an impeccable actress. to me, she is an average looker. That said, she hasn't let that come in the way of her ambitions and that's commendable.

Deepika is my favourite actress but Alia is also pretty darn special. Just saying.

PS- She killed it in the Darlings traler, despite being in the company of stalwarts like Vijay Verma and Shefali Shah.

Her doing Highway was a strategic plan to get her noticed and praised because by her own admission she was in serious danger of becoming a one hit wonder after SOTY. Not only was Imtiaz asked to take her in the movie, even the script was changed around for her. Highway was supposed to be all about Randeep Hoda but somehow became all about Alia. Gee, I wonder how that happened?

I understand that at first glance it looks like she’s taking risks like in Gangubai (although that was probably a bigger risk for SLB than Alia Bhatt) but fact is her entire career has been curated with such great precision that it’s very easy for her to take these so called risks. She is talented. But is she the most talented person out there? Can we honestly and objectively say that if Sanya Malhotra or Fatima Sheikh got the same opportunities as her, not just in the kind of roles but the over the top marketing, they wouldn’t do as well or even better? How about Radhika Madan? How about Tripti Dimri? Alaya F seemed pretty decent in her debut? Again, yes Alia has talent but she’s not some outlier in terms of talent. She’s definitely an outlier in terms of marketing a status though.

Gods or legends haven't come together to make Alia happen. Yes, her career is carefully curated but she is not the first one to get good opportunities. No director or production house has a golden hand. People can go all out to carefully pick the director, producer, music director, supporting actors, still there is no guarantee for success. Everything can't be attributed to her God-father or marketing. It is her presence, saleability and most importantly she clicked with the audience, with both risky and commercial projects alike. Did Randeep get robbed off his credit in Highway? Yes and I can site truck load of movies where more talented character artists didn't get their due and one actor bagged all the credit, happens all the time.

The fact is audience can't be fooled all the time, with every project. They aren't naive. Even in a movie like Gully boy with focus being entirely on the male actors, the rap part, she made her own mark.
