If they are not responsible enough to use birth control or then pick a humane and as early as possible way to dispose of the pregnancy then they need to be told and held accountable. Abortion is not a form of birth control. However it is no so cut and dry to be making the statement you made, many of the states will still allow abortions all throughout pregnancy up to birth...a barbaric practice, but it is what the voters of that state have chosen. PLEASE quote correct facts.

I'm ambivalent about pro life vs pro choice. But even RBG agreed RvW was a terrible ruling. There is no right to privacy in the constitution. SC created a nonexistent right and federalized abortion law when it was up to the states acc to the republican (small r) nature of the nation. Essentially, SC created a new law which is the job of the Congress.

50 years passed since RvW. How come no abortion--as-a-right bill has yet passed through Congress? Because politicians are scared of voters. If voters want federalized abortion , they should darned well turn and vote for politicians who promise it.

As for states, same goes. As long as abortion is not enshrined as a right by the U.S. Congress, states are free to make their own law. Want legal abortion? Vote for it. Elections are only 4+ months away. At the most, 2 years away.

Neither voters nor representatives can wash their hands off responsibilities.
